FREE TUITION PROGRAMME

Thanks to our dedicated and passionate volunteers, Loving Heart’s Free Tuition Programme caters to more than 70 learners from Jurong, Bukit Batok and Yuhua. Our volunteer tutors help students from Primary 1 to Secondary 5 with their homework and improvement of their subject knowledge. Tutorials are often based on one to one configuration, enabling students to build rapport with their tutors. Our volunteer tutors often serve as mentors to the students.

Enchancement in 2020

For the year 2020, we conducted a separate class for the Primary 1 and 2 learners, thus providing them with their own learning space in another location within our centre. The learners attends specialized lessons that comprise of academic learning and educational games, to allow them to ease into the education system.

We partnered with Cerebral, to provide art-based enrichment for the students on a monthly basis. These enrichment sessions include S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to expand knowledge while building creativity. Separately, professional coaches were also hired to support more senior learners and volunteer tutors with knowledge of the MOE syllabus and learning support.
