S.T.A.M.P.
Sports/Skills, Tuition and Mentoring Programme

Since 2006, STAMP has made a difference to many at-risk students who come from vulnerable and difficult family backgrounds, who require greater attention and engagement after school. Schools recommend participating students in accordance to the given criteria.

Through the 3 components we aim to groom well- rounded individuals who are confident and
socially responsible. Combined, these components develop students holistically – academically, physically, and emotionally. We hope to impart the knowledge of social responsibility in a fun and enjoyable manner to keep students engaged.

Sports/Skills

Each school will choose a sport/skill activity based on the interests of the targeted student group, that are not part of the existing extracurricular activities in the school. Conducted by trained professionals within their field of expertise, these sessions provide the opportunity for students to learn additional skills of their interest.

Featured activities includes students from Bukit Batok Secondary performing Taiko Drumming, students from Lakeside Primary painting Graffiti Art, students from Bukit Batok Secondary learning Hip Hop Dance, and students from students from Shuqun Primary experimenting with photography.

Tuition

Loving Heart supports schools with professional and experienced tutors based on the needs of students in each school. These tutors provide additional academic assistance to students who are in need of extra attention.

Mentoring

Since 2019, we enhanced the programme to include trained professionals in the field of mentoring. Together, the mentoring segment of S.T.A.M.P. aims to cultivate traits like leadership, good communication and social skills or responsibility. These programmes are customized for each school and their participating students.

One of our mentors shared a memorable story where an unreceptive student eventually opened up after much encouragement and participated in games, even though he was uncomfortable initially. This story, like many others, is aligned with our objective for students to develop a trusting relationship with mentors and to step out of their comfort zones. We are heartened that many students have had enriching experiences through fun bonding activities with their peers.
