PROMOTING HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Keeping physically active is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. To promote healthy lifestyle among retirees and elderlies, Loving Heart is heartened to introduce two programmes – Chair-Based Exercise and Low Impact Aerobics Exercise.

CHAIR-BASED EXERCISE

This light exercise programme encourages seniors to be active at the convenience of their home. It helps to increase their flexibility and strength, as well as reduce risk of falls as it improves their posture and balance.
Chair-based Exercise is held on every first Friday of the month, conducted by Mdm Tay Sheau Yin on a voluntary capacity. The exercise is held from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

LOW IMPACT AEROBICS EXERCISE

Low Impact Aerobics Exercise promotes physical fitness without stressing muscular joints. Participants benefit from improved strength, lower blood pressure and reduced stress levels. The exercise programme is accompanied by music to add fun and vigour.
It is held on every Tuesday from 11:00am to 12:00pm. This exercise is open to people from all age groups, with priority given to the seniors.

STRETCH BAND EXERCISE

Stretch Band Exercise adds an extra challenge to the workout without putting much pressure on the joints. This exercise helps to increase blood flow, improve joints and helps to strengthen the muscles and bones of the shoulders, arms, chest, back, hips and legs.
It is held on every Thursday from 11:00am to 12:00pm. This exercise is open to people from all age groups, with priority given to the seniors.
